"The place is a gem, a world apart."

From Helder's quick responses to my queries, to his unexpected pickup from the airport, to an afternoon coffee with his mom and stepfather, to our reluctant goodbyes...it was absolute perfection. The place is a gem, a world apart. How many eighteenth century villas have you had the good fortune to encounter? Utterly comfortable, well located, with two large supermarkets within a few minutes walk, details in abundance, the villa would be any traveler's dream. Now, throw in the lovely old gardens, a secret chapel, an enormous swimming pool, a tennis court, a variety of outside seating areas, an aviary, a handful of enchanting pets and the kindest people on the face of the planet and you begin to understand how privileged we felt. Other reviewers have provided loads of information about the property. Believe them. Even a quick perusal of the photos will confirm the truth of what they have chosen to say. What none of us, nor any of the photos can capture is what we have taken away: warm memories of time well spent in this oasis of peace. We cannot wait to return.
