My family spent a wonderful week as guests of Hélder, Sebastian and Goretti in Porto. This was our first trip to our parent’s favorite vacation destination, Portugal. We now truly understand and share their love for Portugal.

Our time in the Porto area was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed the city’s churches, shops, cafes and a bit of its history. We also took walks in the Alfena area and relaxed at the Villa.

Hélder, Sebastian and Goretti were most gracious and helpful throughout our visit. They coordinated transportation, recommended restaurants, and generally met our every need. The villa itself was a wonderful complex. Everything about it exceeded our expectations.

The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The “pool house” was the center of our group activities with the kitchen in one corner, the pool table in the middle and a dining area at the other end. We also spent time on the patio adjacent to the pool. The gardens and grounds were immaculate. It was really a remarkable setting!

One highlight was the stunning family chapel, which spoke to the history of the farm. I wish I had had the opportunity to learn more about the farm and the Ribeiro family history in the area. I would certainly stay at the villa in the future and would recommend it to others considering a visit to Porto. Thank you all for the memorable holiday. Mike
